each time id start the car, and drive round, 10 mins into driving the oil pressure would go down a bit and ud hear tapping but very quitely sometimes it would go away, put the foot down once, and then the oil compression guage goes nearly all the way...it was scary, but it never made a big tapping noise till today (actually not tap, but BANG) ... me old mans been working on cars since he was 13, he loves fords, hes now 56, he sed somethign along the lines of a conrod , and the piston punching a whole in the block...im still new to cars, but it doesnt sound to healthy :(
EDIT: also what u guys been saying sounds right, we is gonna contact this p00fta (sorry bit angry) and get some answers out of him....i mean, since i got this "reco'd" 3.9L weve changed the oil bout 3-4 times, and the first time oil change we did was decent stuff, wasnt to bad, nothing bad happened, no ticking, it was untill maybe 3 weeks ago i noticed alot of this happening...and my 27 yr old bro says exactly what u say five point slow bout the oil pump not working, and that it was the cause...answers to all this should hopefully be uncovered by tommorow...
