I don't know what the answer is and don't know why it is so but my personal take on it is that in Australia there seems to be a lack of common decency towards other road users and a lack of any common values for young people to actually work work with.
Take the UK for instance, it seems that all road users over there are decent towards others and they are curtious to one another. You see them merge and let people merge, you see people flash others and let then know its ok to pull out to over take, even trucks.
Speed limits are there but not enforced to the extent they are here, more importantly driver attitude and habbits are policed like undertaking and tail gating and not letting people in etc..
I mean you can do 90 mph in a 70mph and not get booked, but undertake....its dangerous and illegal and so it is here too but who has ever been booked for it.

Look I guess if you want to run a police state and nail evryone for a revenue collecting purpose then attitudes are never going to get better.
People are taught better values and decency.
Its really got me stumped why people can not help each other on nthe roads by being simply more curtious and patient of each other.

When and how is somthing ever going to be done to change this for the better?
