Default Re: 2000 Saab 9-5, anyone owned one?

Just sold mine a couple of months back. As the previous poster said, thay are a very nice highway tourer, very comfortable, and economical for a big car. I ran mine on 95 and was getting around 550-600kms out of a tank around town. They can suffer from oil sludge though, regular oil changes in these are a must. Using good quality oil is essential, as is checking the service history for evidence of regular servicing. Saabs will not tolerate poor servicing. Apart from that, they are a good car, servicing costs can be very reasonable, you just need to do some ringing around some specialists.
