As above, oil changes critical. Had one of these as well as a 9000 which has the same engine. With a boost control valve fitted it was able to stick with a stock SS or XR8 back in the day and remarkably good on fuel and quite spacious for what they are. Needed quality tyres that were regularly rotated with the boost I had running. From memory a fuel pump was $500 and the one piece moulded ignition unit that included coil packs was about the same price too. Might be worth the punt for one with a good service history, don't forget though with Saab being no longer that resale may be woefull and parts supply down the track may not be ideal.
