Those gen Ys you speak of aren't buying Mustangs. They're buying some form of Japanese or Euro car.
The vast majority of Mustang buyers over here will go for the V8. It's the image. And I'll be honest, when buying a car like this I DO care about what others think of it. If I didn't, I wouldn't buy a Mustang, I'd buy a Camry.
