I picked up one of the silver ones from Ebay. They are hard to come by. I really wanted white, but settled for the silver.

you can make them yourself use blue lighting gels (for stage lighting) the only cost a couple of dollars do not use celophane then cut to match your gague backs they must be trimed enough to not cover your different warning lights etc. or the guy on ebay does them on request but charges about $40

Would the stage lighting gels be easier to work with then celophane, i started to do it with celophane but i was going to need 5 or 6 layers to make it dark and blue enough for my liking.

yes easier as it is stiffer and one layer only required. unlike celophane which are just decorative the gels are meant to change the colour of light

hmm interesting method. maybe easier than LEDS? but could be a little fiddly if you want diff colours for warning lights but that's a pretty good idea.
i went to take my cluster out the other night to change to blue LEDS but was unsuccessfull as i couldnt pull the bastard out. Tried a couple of allen keys and pushing behind...no luck
AU3 , where do you pickup the gels from?

I just bought lighting gel, but how do you take off the gauge backing and the needles? Also I used a suction cap on the cluster to get it out. Two screws and stick it on, it popped right out.
