If this has already posted my apol.
But having a quick look through the mag , I noticed the cover is of a CSV enhanced VE GTS with a 7L corvette engine 400kw, 650Nm 1/4 12.9 @ 187kph ( 116mph ) 1870Kg, 6 speed Auto with 3.27 diff gear from memory. 0-100 4.8 I think. cost around 112k .. But this is a one off from CSV , HSV having not made any as yet, if they do then good luck to Ford. :

I think I know which one off (well the NIZPRO F6 isn't a one off as they are making a few of them to send over and more when the orders start coming in) I'd prefer. I think the F6 would be a little quicker on the 1/4 and through turns and would probably stop quicker etc etc...

Nearly 40K extra and only 12.9 1/4. Not very impressive for a 400kw car IMO.

IIRC, a stock F6 on here (sorry, BMC filter included), ran 12.8 or something.
Awesome way to spend 112 g's.....

EDIT Heres a VE that runs 11.65@116mph, so that give you an indication of how quick it could be with good traction. http://uk.youtube.com/watch?v=6NCYXpenB_s

The Aussie muscle cars never seem to have the tyre package to make the best use of the engine power.
Did they quote in-gear acceleration times for the CSV? |

VE SS/HSV's Potenza RE050 OEM tyres are pretty decent though. But they should've gone with Potenza RE070. |

More sizes should be available soon since they're also the OEM tyres for Nissan GT-R. |

Starts up the good old argument that .1 seconds (especially at those 0-100 times) is not worth the extra $30k |

I wouldn't worry too much about it if its a one off... just hype.
DABOSS, does it say if there are any plans for production?

Tuner cars are hilarious. No matter what marque they're for, often they're no faster then stock despite having huge amounts of power in comparison.
A VE GTS can pull a 12.9 like that thing can, but that thing has the trap speed good for mid-low 11's. Now if HSV made something with an LS7 in it, that would be quite the spectacle.

Anyways how bloody fast do people want to go? It does 12s, has a crap load of power and I assume it is warranted. I still find the stock GTS pretty nice! |

Ok let me get this straight, you buy the car from a HSV dealer and drive it out of the showroom for an all up price of 75K, then take it to CSV who modify it for 37K.. The HSV warranty is automatically dead for starters.. im sceptical as to what if any warranty CSV would offer other than for the actual goods installed by them i.e not the car..

All warranty asside, it would still be good if it were road legal. Would be interesting to know what sort of deal there's between HSV and CSV if any at all
