Just a little curious, where can these scrawny maggot parasites strike next? They are too stupid too spread out, they have added a 3rd loser into the gang. Surely, someone can predict their next move and possibly even figure out where they are based. Any criminal profilers out there? What can we do to help? My son works at Maccas in Sth. East Suburbse and I don't feel entirely comfortable about it either. |

i really wish we were much tougher on crime. life sentence to everyone or even death for law breakers. would be a much nicer place to live.

Couple of problems with a death penalty. Problem 1. You cant take it back when the system gets it wrong. There are innocent people in jail. Yes they all claim to be, but that does not alter the fact, some are innocent. Are you OK with executing the innocent? Or is a few acceptable? Problem 2. If a person is willing to commit crimes, then what is to stop them killing any potential witnesses. What difference does it make to them if they kill everyone in the place, they can only be executed once. Remember, we're talking about meth heads and whatnot, not just some rambunctious teens. Theres tough on crime, and then theres ignorant knee jerk reactions. Nth Korea wasnt that far off the mark. |

I hope for the sake of the world you guys never have anything to do with politics, law enforcement or anything of the sort. On topic, these hamburglars don't seem too bright hitting stores so close together. They should be caught pretty quickly if they strike again.

Whilst i wouldnt go as far as to suggest the death penalty, the judicial system in this country could do with a dose of cement powder. We had a shocking incident in SA on new years eve where a tough guy king hit a teen and killed him...he had the nerve to apply for bail, to which the Judge, by phone mind you, has agreed to consider it... Perhaps if the people handing down the sentences were a little firmer, we wouldnt be living in a society spiralling out of control. (Just for the record...yes people got bashed in the 'ol days too) |

Judges work within guidelines, at least part of which is defined in economic terms. Until youre prepared to pay an additional rate of tax, and have a prison built in your neighbourhood, youre part of those economic reasons. Do you want, lets say, kiddie fiddlers housed next door to you? These are just two of the numerous problems even governments who want to get tough on crime face. Any area earmarked for the prison, becomes very vocal about their own families safety and property values and lifestyles, and who can blame them. And the prospect of additional taxation to cover it brings out words like 'money grubbers'. One of many reason the judge considers bail, is because the man at this point is considered innocent. You do understand the meaning of the phrase, "Assumed innocent until proven guilty"? Proven, in court, the case yet to be heard, hasnt happened yet so he is still considered innocent. Or would you prefer to assume all accused are guilty and let them prove their innocence? Because if you prefer guilty until proven innocent, you dont understand what the country stands for, what the flag represents, or what diggers fought and died to protect. I can tell you, innocent until proven guilty is part of that. Thats part of the freedom and liberty mentioned in such debates. The rule of law which is a cornerstone of our system of governance. To quote an American legend, 'they who can give up essential liberty to obtain a little temporary safety, deserve neither liberty nor safety'. |

Didnt seem to worry them. So tell me, if some .... killed someone in a cowardly attack and was free to live next door to you until whatever time the judicial system choses to try their case you'd be happy about it. We have a full remand centre here in Adelaide, can we send a few to your street...they're innocent until found guilty too, just ask them. |

WTF? x1,000,000 I hope for the sake of the world you guys never have anything to do with politics, law enforcement or anything of the sort. No much better to just turn the streets over to the crims and toss the towel in at the expense of the 99.9% of law abiding contibutors to society . |

The 24 hour maccas here only serve by means of the drive thru during late hours...Smart move.

What sort of society have we become. Kids being terrorised at there first job. Thats a very traumatic thing to go through for anyone, let alone a 16 yr old (as most maccas staff are)
bring back public stoning

One Local Maccas around here wont let you in after a certain time, and while Drivethrough is 24hours, it has about 4" of perspex covering the drive through pick-up window and a tray that they use to slide out food and money in. Aswell as several cameras right on it so no one can so much as get a hand through the window.
Not sure whether its bullet proof but short of a jackhammer you wouldn't be getting through. It is odd though, as the Police regularly patrol through Maccas.

You can be assured that the "embona" taskforce will be staking out a few outlets in the next few days as the pattern looks very similar after only 3 hits. The police probably already know who they are looking for and hopefully it will be sooner rather than later.
As soon as i heard the helicopter last night i knew the local one had been hit. |

smarter than robbing a servo i guess, best they get out of them is ~$100 cash float and a few ciggies. Maccas would have a bigger cash float that comes with a coke and fries.
the way you girls carry on about 'today's society' you'd think armed robbery was invented last week

I grew up in a hard neighbourhood as well, and there were and still are, only two rules, what you are capable of doing, and what you aren't.

Only today i was driving down Bagsters rd (salisbury North for those playing at home) following a line of cars behind a learner driver instructor.
The vehicle directly behind the instructor was right up his .... so the instructor stopped the car and got out to approach the driver. Now, the instructor was an overweight bloke of atleast 50yrs of age, didnt get aggressive, just made a point of mentioning the fact that he was trying to teach a kid how to drive. well, the Meth head freak, proberbly late 30's, bounces out of his car and flies the instructor in the middle of the road...what a hero. Then he realised where he was and who was watching...right out the front of the footy club. So what did he do when he knew he was punching above his weight...he got back in his car and blew the horn...Plastic Gangster! |
