I beg to differ. What on earth have they done to the front bar? It looks absolutely horrendous! I can't see any 'beauty' in the rest of the car either, IMO the current model is a far better looking car.

That's unreal! What a brilliant campaign. Kudos to the firm that created that.

Amazing campaign, it's actually making me want to buy one.
If only I had the $$$ :(
I do look forward to it being here, and those technologies being the "Norm" for most car manufacturers.

Brilliant.

Another good thing with One Ford is marketing will also be global.

Some of the tech shown in these ads isn't exactly new, but it's good to have it portrayed and demonstrated from time to time. And I must say, for the price I don't think anything would come close to the Focus with all that???

Any one of those techs mentioned would be enough to get anyone over the line; to have it all at an affordable price is a no brainer.
The sedan looks crap by the way but the hatch isn't bad.

Yes youssef it is a very very impressive machine. I can't think of another car at that price point that will come close features wise. Of course it also drives very very well.

As for the sedan i think you are being a bit harsh. The photos released thus far were far more flattering than the angles used in that film. I agree the hatch is nicer but i think the sedan is a massive jump up versus the old focus sedan and probably worth a look for alot of people given its pretty roomy inside...

An add is not 1.47sec long.. And the Falcon does not have Foucs like tech, which is also a big problem.. How can Falcon compet with this??

However, it is a ver nice piece of footage!!

With CGI the camera can literally go anywhere. Ads not 1.47 long? ever seen infomercials? they can go for 1/2 hour, it's just how much you want to pay.
how can falcon compete? easy, Passion, Power, Performance!

If Ford Australia went to all that effort into making an ad with so much CGI like that one, they would hardly have enough budget left to pay the networks to air it.

I'm not sure what channels would allow for an ad that exceeds 45 seconds. Possibly on GO! where they air informercials during their ad breaks, or maybe Sky News where they used to push the TRD Aurion when it still existed with really long ads.

It's good for brand awareness that the ads will be the same EVERYWHERE in the world - simply dubbed in different languages. Naturally, it will be a fair few years before the rest of the range gets like this, but when it does... Oh boy - look out competition! :P

Great interior

WTF happened to the exterior.... this must be the worst looking Ford (current) passenger car in the world, cant think of anything uglier.

Ka= Looks stupid but not ugly
Feista= Looks great
Focus= Looks rubbish
Fusion= Looks not bad
Mondeo= Looks good
Falcon= Looks great
Taurus= Looks not bad
Mustang= Looks fantastic

I agree with that.

FG is a generation behind the focus on styling and design,

If only FG had the same lines and styling cues as the focus, it would sell a **** load more than it does now.

FG is just plain boring

I dare to differ. This ad was way too long, its almost the length of an entire episode of Top Gear. That engine cutaway view idea looked like a copy of a Need For Speed intro video. Trying to sell a car to a mechanic, maybe.. Was this an actual TV Ad? The BA XR6 Turbo ad with the grey car was a much better concept: succinct and conveying a sense of euphoria. I would have thought the general car public don't care how/why a car works/handles.. just matters that is does work and does handle and does go.

That clip would not have been seen in that length during a normal commercial break.

Brilliant ad. These are the kind of ads they should be spreading around the internet like wild fire. Get them on facebook, twitter, etc.

Ford AU could use some of this. The new Focus is a good car. Reviews so far have given it the thumbs up.
I like the look. I think it looks classy without being boring and it doesn't need plastic bits hanging off it. It will give the Golf a good run for its money just like the Fiesta has done to the Polo.
while the Falcon isn't a bad looker it is starting to look its age. The FG should have been the BF model but then it is a trait of FoA to be a little late to the party and not always putting 100% effort.

Hopefully this new Focus sells strongly, up there with Mazda3.
Keen to see the ST model come out, pity it won't have the awesome I5T from Volvo. That alone is the reason I won't sell mine.

Yep there will be some more sleepless night at VW HQ when this car hits the road.
