This is probably a dumb question, my base model Classic came out with 7"rims Ive since put on 8"rims and was thinking about getting an 8"spare but it doesnt look like there is much room in the wheel well with the 7" rim and the wood cover and carpet. So will the 8" rim fit in the well without changing anything?

Yes, luckily the carpet is flexible and will sit up a little bit. But It WILL fir in terms if wheel diameter, just width is the problem.

As Jc said, it fits fine but the wood cover will need to be retired.

Just make a slightly raised new false boot floor to allow everything to sit even once again.

the other option is to buy a wagon - the spare wheel sits underneath the car, not in the boot!
