Hi all , Just a quick question . My son has just bought a KF laser (auto ).
The car is in pretty good condition . The main problem is the auto gearbox , it seems to rev out in 1st gear ( doesn't seem to make any difference if you floor it if just take of nice and easy ) then it really slams into 2nd. I had a look under the bonnet and found that the hose that comes out of what looks like the servo ( in the top of the gearbox ) it is about 200mm long and has a screw stuck in the end to block it off. I guess it is a vacumn hose . Does anyone know where the other end is supposed to be connected to ? Thanks Dayvo |

Hey Mate,
I used to have a KF auto and it also used to take ages to rev out 1st then it kinda shunts the car going into second. I have no idea about the vacumn hose location. Where was the kf purchased?? Sounds like it might have been mine? Cheers Damo

The blocked off vac hose is normal. I think its actually a vent. Check the kickdown switch on the accel pedal, it should click when you floor it. The 1-2 shift on these is never going to be really smooth tho
