Hey guys,
Thought I'd post another update on my car. Well, we've got it going quite good now for a non-intercooled setup. I bought Mick Malta's Microfueller on the weekend and fitted it. The Microfueller controls 2 injectors which can be put in the throttle body. I did some research on them, and some people are pulling some decent figures with just a Microfueller and no other fuel system mods. Best I saw was a VL that was running mid 12s. Mick's car ran a 13.7 and made 194RWKW on 10PSI think. I currently am running 1 random injector that looks chunky as, and one Bosch blue top. It's working quite well, but I won't know how well till it's tuned. I've also got the standard exhaust for now ing_sm Only complaint I have atm is that the car's sluggish when warm. That would be the lack of intercooler for sure yeah? I'll hopefully have one in 2 weeks or so, then I can put it on a dyno and get it tuned! : Oh and it's running a 10PSI spring in the wastegate now as well. The wastegate blew off on the weekend (long story) and Doug took the opportunity to jam the 10 pound spring in while it was out. I don't get a flutter but I get this other mad noise. I can just be cruising along, take it just over 0 pound and let go and it will make the sound. Good for all those shopping centre laps lol. Anyways I'll post some pics soon. Sundeep |

DCstraight blew his head gasket because the backpressure was too high running a stock exhaust and turbo :P
so i'd be very careful.

Yeah whoops forgot to say, I'm going to get it booked in to the exhaust shop for Friday.
Also, I'm looking for an intercooler atm and can't find anything that'll fit behind an EA-ED bar. I don't mind chopping the lower slat like Dan, but anything more than that will stick out like blue balls on a red dog. Gilly has been talking to 6BOOST on PForums for me, he reckons he has one that will fit with little or no mods, but he hasn't been able to show us picture proof. Does anyone know of a standard size cooler that will fit behind a EA bar with little or no mods? Sundeep |

I just took it for a spin, and gave it curry while it was cold. It goes ape shit!!! I did a standy and eased off the brakes when it came on boost, revved out way quick and took off up the private road sideways!!! You could feel it getting slower as it warmed up though. I soooo need a cooler and a tune!! Sundeep Last edited by Sundeep; 20-04-2005 at 09:56 AM. |

Ahhhhh sick! There should be some intercoolers on ebay you can check out. A few guys on fordmods have decent sized ones that should fit without too many dramas.

Cheers guys.
I'm still waiting on Douglas to upload the pics he took so I can post them up lol. I really need a cooler and exhaust. I was reading a old magazine with stuff about exhaust upgrades on turbo cars. They got like 30kW gain out of a XR6 Turbo by changing to a better flowing exhaust. I'm going from a stock EA exhaust to a 3", I wonder what gains I'll get?!? I have to book it in still, hopefully I can get it booked in for a exhaust tmrw morning. Sundeep |

the exhaust will help heaps, on my car it felt heaps quicker at the same boost when I changed exhausts over.
I cant wait to see it do some skids!

Yea I agree with Dan, there will be a lot of diff between the stocko 2" ea exhaust to a turbo 3" exhaust.

Yes, a better flowing exhaust will remove that cork up the EA's **** that you don't know is there at the moment... due to the turbo rush you're not used to yet that is!

Well he just came over, he got the exhaust! 3" with a 3.5" dump tip! Looks mad as! Sound SO friggen tuff too!! Goes good as well. I could hear him all the way at the end of my street while he was idleing and then he must have given it a bit as he got onto the main road because I could hear it till he hit second! Damn it sounds tuff though.
