Stripes And Bulge Stickers On Non Gt's

Just wanted to gauge peoples opinions on stripes and bulge stickers on non GT's
please dont turn this into a personal war or anything!!!!!

we must all remember everyone is entitled to their opinion

Oh FFS.

My thoughts are that it will always happen, you either love it or you don't and that there is no need to make constant threads about the stickers, the wheels, the bodykits or the badges.

Agreed. In other words, do what you like to your own car. If you like it, great, thats all tha matters. Just be aware some will not like it and may tell you so.

This debate has gotten so old that I'm not even going to vote....totally pointless now.

Do what you like to your car. Who cares what people think as long as your happy. This topic is brought up over and over again.

My boss just got the Fukk stripe and Decal Set with BOSS 325 on the bonnet. doesnt look Bad but its still Too slow :-)

Look I dont mean to come across as having a whinge (although I guess I am in a way :hihi: ), but seriously, this debate has been done to death a million times. Do a search on 'Stripes' or 'GT' and you'll see what I mean.

At the end of the day I stand by what I said - it WILL always happen, and while it's quite ok to have an opinion on it, we don't need to debate the pros and cons of it on a weekly basis.

BUT you still havent answered the question of the poll i guess
you have said other people can do what they want and i believe that too, but whats your personal opinion on them?

A lot of cars have come with stickers and stripes in past (here and overseas) so it's not something that's unique to GT's. It's not like having fake Sierra vents on a Charade, or BA bulge bonnets on Commodores.

JUST to clarify to all this poll refers only to the BA GT stripes and bulge stickers on non-GT's

other opinions are welcome but the poll is only for the above

I (NArelle) think they should be saved purely for the GT's. I admit they dont look bad on some cars, but keep em on the GTs

I agree with Steffo, and also i have seen a few dealers putting stripes on BA XR6/XR8s

i have even seen an XT with hubcaps and Stripes.

I think the stripes and stickers should be left for the GTs. There's a red BA XR6 in Tauranga with white GT stripes and it just doesn't look right without the rest of the GT bits (and putting a full GT kit on an XR6 would be ludicrous). There's also a bog stock Phantom XR6 with an XR8 bonnet which annoys me aswell.

I know the Enforcer and devil R XR8's come witht he stickers i think this is ok for these special editions, but glad they didnt add the stripes as well

Ford obviously defend the right to try and keep the integrity of FPV range and only sell FPV parts to owners, but then contradict their own logic somewhat with bonnet stickers on the devil & enforcer?. I know they are different from the Boss ones but when it suits them they use it. Ive got the bulge sticker on mine (Boss 260) because I think it suits my car too, but have avoided the stripes.

Well I've had about enough of all these unqualified opinions of who should and who shouldn't have stripes. Just because I dont have a GT doesn't say my stripes aren't cool.

To each his own, and btw leopard print undies were never a good look either. The things people do!!!
