Im having some issues with my AU III manual. The gears at times are very difficult to engage, most notably 1st & 2nd especially from a stationary position. When the car is going its a little better but sometimes you really have to fight to get it in gear. The problem isnt always present, at times it will drive just fine.
Can anybody shed some light onto what the problem may be & what it may cost to fix ? Thanks. |

Change the oil in the gearbox with a good high quality oil, and possibly add an additive IE. Lubrizol.
Adjust your clutch.. in the engine bay pull on the clutch cable and spin the nut on there either back or forward and you will see in the car that the pedal and either gone higher or lower.. try it out.. |

Im not very handy with the mechanical side of things, but is the clutch cable towards to upper left of the fire wall or is that something completely different ?
