I seen around 5 - 10 XW/XY GT's yesterday at separate times, none on a trailer though.

They've probably stuck it in a shed for the next 20 years, unless someone seen it go to the destination I doubt he'll be getting it back.

With all these thefts, it almost feels like the 80's all over again.
Hope it surfaces real soon.

keep an eye out at swap meets etc and ebay... although if they have this car theyre probably not that stupid...
but what were they hoping to do with it anyway?
if it goes anywhere like a show, people will know it...
my mate had his vh ss stolen a while back, and weve never heard of it again...

Did he have any sort of engine imboliser/alarm ????, I mean really to be stollen at that time off day in broad daylight with the owner not to far away, I assume, is very brazen.

You would not expect theives to lurk around that area in sydney,
its the 2nd GT stolen story i have read about this year from that area though.

Gone are the marrikville days.
I hope your mate finds it mate, thats bloody low.

i dont think it matters where it is... it could be stolen from whoop whoop...
these c**** dont give a ....
they should be locked up and tortured...
could be related to the xy that was ripped off not long ago aswell?
how come you dont hear of a9x etc being ripped off?

I hope you don't mean in your statement that these theives should target an A9X or something else other than a Ford, NO vehicle should be stolen, no owner should have to go through this.

These days with these cars in the news every second week you really need to be with the car at all times in public.

I've taken my XY GT out numerous times and left it parked in public for an hour or two....not anymore.

Bloody hell- thats ridiculous- I imagine that the theives probably followed the car to where it was parked...I doubt that it was just opportunistic as it would take a bit of planning as to where to hide it etc...its absolutely outrageous.

I drive the Landfill all the time and leave it with the windows down quite frequently- the way I se it is that there are plenty of convertibles around that are left open and don't get stolen and maybe my old coupe is not as desirable as an XW...that and far too many people round here not only know the car but seem to ring me when they see it anywhere!

Maybe I'll be a little more attentive- it would probably void my insurance if it was stolen whilst open but it takes an idiot like me about 5 seconds to get into any old Ford!
I do have a little method of completely disabling it prior to leaving it though!
