Default Snake in the outback

Quote:
Photos of a snake caught on an electric fence on a sheep & Cattle station near the NSW town of Nyngan.... Some tourists on Holidays came across the snake caught in an electric fence, being Continually shocked, and getting very angry! The group wondering what to do, decide to divert the current, cut the wire AND let the snake go!

(As you should do). When the property Owner found out he went ballistic, besides being upset about his fence, The snake had been eating lambs in the area, and he'd been trying to Track it for ages. He did not appreciate the help! Australians are used to big snake or two!

Um, just wear some decent boots and pull the strands of wire closer together at the other stake, the snake would free itself then.

With the internet, it's hard to know what's fact and whats fiction!

I have seen 2 similar pics of monster beasts. Prob on here?? There was a pic floating round of an ariel shot of a gator in a lake with a deer in its mouth... the deer looked to be of adult size and half way down the throat of the gator.

The other pic was a snake that had swallowed a gator, the gator was so big that it actually burst out of the side of the snake.. it was swallowed alive apparently....

Yeap first photo is a African Rock Python and you wont see anyting like that here in Australia.

I think you will also find the second photo of the Olive python is very much a photo chop. Olive pythons average 2 to 4 m, though there have been reports of Olive pythons eating small wallabys, no way they could eat a large roo.

The biggest Australian snake is the Scrub python, growing up to 4 to 5m and found in northern Qld.

Apparently the farmer was upset because it's been eatin all his lambs, what a croc, they only need to feed once every few months these big pythons, it' not like he eats a lamb every day.
That second one looks like he found a dead roo in the water and is trying to get a free feed.
When I lived in the Kimberelys an old fellah just out of town had a few goats and saw a great big rock python had swallowed one of his goats, story went he shot it with his double barrel and cut the goat out and it survived.
Not sure about that though, because I thought they crushed the life out of their prey first, then swallowed it.
Anyway, great pics.

There a no such animals called a rock python in Australia. I have kept snakes and pythons for over 15 years and still do keep pythons.

In the Kimberly you will se Olive pythons that can be large, but not large enough to eat an adult goat or roo, but they could eat a very young baby, but unlikely they could catch one. They could really only eat nothing bigger than the size of an adult cat.

There are more myths about snakes and pythons then there are about Unicorns.
