Well what can i say i have had her since the 250,000km mark and shes still cruising like a purring cat, since owning it i have been to the end of the earth and back and only ever replaced the diff which i done alone and had never done one before(and must say it was very straight forward and easy)and other small serviceable items(fuel filter, oil changes, coolant changes etc)i drive it every day and enjoy every minute of it.I've got headers on it,a bigger exhaust(which has a nice note)95 xr8 mags, tints, awesome sounds and other various goodies(oh yeah and its a 5 speed manual)so thought i would share with ya's how proud i am of my ea.I know ea's get bagged a bit but i love my ea,this weekend i am off on a 500km trip which at some point the 399,777kms which is where it is at the moment will roll over into the 400's,which some people would hate to see cause the k's are so high it makes the car not worth much, but to me its awesome,i cant wait till it hits 500 and more.

Great to hear! Sounds like your's has been more troublefree than mine, but they're still not a bad car! EA's are severely underrated. People hear the letters EA and the first word that pops into their mind is "avoid". Well, mine has a few oil leaks, and a few squeaks and rattles, but if I ever got rid of it, I know I'd miss it. Good job on your milestone!

Upon hearing rattles and other noises--
1) Turn radio up. (if noise persists, or gets worse) 2) Radio louder

I took a photo of mine about 6 months back, right on 250,000kms. I wish I'd taken a few photos when I first got it at 148,000kms.

Just sign up to www.photobucket.com (free) then upload photos to there. Then all you do is copy the link that apears with the picture added into the forums message window.

What a great milestone for the girl. She doesnt look a day over 200k :P
When you get the pics, do as suggested with photobucket. If you have any problems let me know & I can PM you a detailed guide on how to do it. Make sure you keep an eye on it & if need be turn around so you have a quiet place to get the piccys too :P |

HSVKILLA, Yes your file sizes are a tad large. If you use photobucket it will resize them automatically to be able to fit, you will also have the ability to put the entire pic up in here instead of just the thumbnail.
Uploading is pretty much the same in most of these sites so that shouldnt pose a problem for you. Once they are loaded there is a box that you click and it will copy the pics address so you can paste that into your post. Then you will have your piccy here for all of us to see |

Are you using the photobucket account to upload the pictures ??
If so you dont have to attach them as an attachment. You can actually direct link the pictures address to here. Basically if you are using photobucket, once the picture is uploaded and you can see it click on the picture and a larger version will open. just under (or next to depending on the size of your screen) the picture there will be a couple of boxes with links. The one at the bottom says 'IMG Code - Forums & Bulletin Boards'. If you click on that (no need to right click) it will copy the address. Then all you have to do is paste that link into your post in here ( the little box that I typed this in ;) Hope thats not too confusing. If it is let me know & I will do up a proper tutorial for it( something I should do anyway ;) ) |

If you right click your mouse it will have various things including paste. Left click on that & the link will appear in the box your typing in. Just make sure your cursor is still in the box that you are typing in
It will end up with a line that looks like Grimus one above in your text box but the picture will appear in the thread. Also, you dont need to worry about the attachment part. This will put the picture up direct and will not take up your attachment limit. |
