Hi all,
I have a 2005 Ford Fiesta Zetec. I've been looking into getting the Ford ipod/mp3 imput installed. After getting some quotes from Ford dealers in Melbourne, I booked my car in to city-ford (who told me they could fit it for $120). Long story short, after waiting 3.5hrs they told me they couldnt fit it. Basic incompatence from their service dept! Anyway, im still trying to have this done. Can someone guide me as to what my options are? Bare in mind DIY is not really an option, as I'd have no idea what id be doing! Thanks!! |

DIY shouldn't be too hard, but you would need to drill a bit, but the connectors are already there if you just buy the parts. I think there's a DIY guide around here someone.
I don't know why City Ford couldn't do it...try asking another dealer? Or you could always just get an ipod FM transmitter, will still do the job. |

Is your car an auto? They don't have the jack next to the shifter, no room underneath.

An auto electrician should be able to put any where you like.
I use a Griffin Roadtrip for my ipod, I don't need the transmitter, but I like having the ipod in a handy position on long trips.

Mine is a manual and has the Ipod AUX plug i think ive used it twice on my mp3 player. But it does come in handy for things like my GPS and laptop when we are travelling to cairns.
