Choice Bro..............
Amazing that the Corolla is number one in NZ, by a long margin, and in Oz it gives the commodore a run for it's money, and yet in europe it is not even in the top ten. Australians have no taste when it comes to new cars. The reason Holden is further down the list may have something to do with Holden marketing stuck for ideas when they can't use "Aussies are tough, Holdens are tougher" etc Last edited by Gobes32; 17-01-2009 at 01:21 PM. |

well i think everyone is going for fuel effiecient cars...look at hyundai sales! they doubled their sales since 07 december! bt comparing holden&ford, think the main reason is due to the base models of the falcon and commodore...the XT is a cut above the omega..the omega comes with 4spd auto as standard while the XT has 5 cogs with tip-tronic..also the electrics on the ford are more sophisticated compared to the commodore..if u look at the sport models...ford enthusiasts will opt to get a ford, will a holden enthusiast will get a holden..its simple as tht...its only when it comes to the base models, where families, elderly couples etc. dont care if its a holden or ford, as long as its a good car and bang for the bucks motoring...

Compare market share for Ford and Holden for December 2008 vs 2007.
Ford are up 1.64% from 10.97% to 12.61% Holden are down 1.73% from 9.35% to 7.62% Falcon market share up 1.45% from 3.60% to 5.05% C'Dore market share dwn 2.22% from 6.35% to 4.13% Clearly the New Zealanders have recognised the FG as the superior car to VE and FG sales have been increased at the expense of the VE
