Default Rexona Australia's Greatest Athlete

anyone else watch this?

i watched the first one and now the 2nd series is done. all episodes can be watched here

without wanting to give anything away, its a pretty good little series. hats off to all who participated. lot of fit people out there.

billy slater is a machine, and little jimmy oconnor is a bit of a powerhouse too. shame they didn't have the boxing event this year.

lowndes did well in the end too but him and matt mitcham looked a bit out of place amongst all the bigger bodies.

big del (wendel sailor) is a funny bugger. loves talking about himself though. he's a big unit.

light enjoyable entertainment.

yup Billy Slater is an all-rounder, he's fit and skilled and nearly everything. Jimmy oconnor looked like he was a teenager, but he could bench press better than any of them

i really enjoyed it. watched the first and second series. the good thing is, if you miss it on tv (normally on sat or sun arvo) you can watch it online.

the rugby type players are always going to do well given the nature of most of the challenges. other sports like diving, motorsport etc focus on specific areas of the body, whereas the rugby guys are all strength, endurance, speed and have pretty good coordination too.

even though its fairly light hearted, i love how competitive they still are, esp the last one. slater won it by taking a gamble on the balance beam. ekstein was 10s down coming off that but lost by less than 2.
