because they couldn't get the 'global warming' idea over the line with people still having cold temps.

now it's 'climate change' but didn't the climate change anyways?

Just got back from the Sunshine Coast after spending the weekend up there.

The first few shots are from Alex Heads, it was quite literally raining sideways!

The day shots are as good as it got, and I was going to get some shots near Point Arkwright as there was sea foam literally covering the whole shore and was billowing over the rocks around the point, but it was just too wet to tempt loosing my camera.

The next shots are from a little detour we took, heading down a road to "Veriadale" (20mins from Noosa) which was, according to the 4wd guys ploughing through, 800mm deep further up from where we were stopped.

Enjoy!

Well, its about 24 hours late, bt the trough has finally moved over us, came over around 8:30 last night. Since then we've had between 70-110mm. Good news is it looks like in a few more hours it will be all over

Same here, lol.
We have been coping this for most of the last week here in Northern NSW and it is looking like a flood is on the cards.

Yep, got another 6 inches here last night, to go with the 6 inches the night before. And it's still bucketing down now. Don't think we are going to need Anna's pipeline for a while !!

We never needed the pipeline up here, it was the thieves in BrisVegas that were stealing it.

LOL.... We leave this Thursday on the CQ esCarpade in a 64 XM Falcon. We will be traveling through most of these areas that have been flooded, and most of the driving is on dirt tracks. We are even driving the beach from noosa to Rainbow, which should be interesting due to recent errosion.
All flood waters will be down by the time we go, but it is still going to be realy muddy, and slippery.

Bloody hell it rained last night!!! That would be one of the longest downpours I've seen I think. I read that Springbrook copped 12" in the past 22hrs!

Hey all,

As some of you are aware I work for emergency services.

Anyone in the Brisbane area needs to be extremly careful as there is widespread flooding.

Police have blocked off road around the Kedron are already, some of which include Shaw Rd and Leckie Road, however there are reports of cars flooded in the Kallangur and Virginia area as well.

The fire and ambulance service are attending these incidents as fast as possible so please be extra alert and make way for them as quickly and safely as possible.

Please see: http://www.bom.gov.au/cgi-bin/wrap_fwo.pl?IDQ20032.txt for the current warning issued by the BOM.

Take care and be safe everyone.

Regards,

Grandpa_Spec_AU

I can imagine. Lots of flooding at Burpengary. I think the Bribie Island road will be cut later today at high tide.
