I am not sure if I put this here or not but I am wondering who on here does window tinting for a living or has tinted there own cars in the past with decent results?
Due to my location and the fact I have 4 cars and a caravan to tint and the almost $2500 price tag that goes with it before driving/towing vehicles the 100km 1 way to a shop, that I would purchase all the materials and try to do it myself but I am not having any luck getting the tint to fit smooth. I have watch some videos on youtube, read the directions from the tint supplier and purchased all the recommended tools and misc items so I am not sure what to do. Everything I got from Protint. The tint 35% and 5% Any help would the greatly appreciated.

I tried to do tinting at work when the tinter left, having experience with vinyl application & vehicle wraps, I didnt think it would be that hard. But it was not as easy as it looks & now appreciate the talent that tinters have. I could never get it right either.
If you really want to give it a go, & seeing as you have so much to do. I'd say try and find a tinter that can do one of you cars (the cheapest one) & see if he can give you a lesson at the same time. It may cost a little more but you will learn more in a 1 on 1 lesson as he can show you where your going wrong & you may save money in the long run with all the tint you wreck trying it yourself. Plus you will have one less car to do |
