Have a look at Qld Transport website. You may be able to renew online depending on what licence you have. Also there are forms you can download and complete if you are interstate or overseas.

I've spent a lot of time on the TMR website lately - know it well. If you've got one of the old laminated licences you'll have to upgrade to the new chipped ones and that can't be done online. Hope the above helps. Cheers!

You can renew after the expiry & not take another test. Just means you can't drive until you go to an office to get the new chipped ones. Which as shifty said, must be done in person. No online system remains due to this. If you have a new chipped one, read the bill. It should have the option to bpay it I believe & they send you out the sticker to place on the back. That's how I renewed 2 years ago.
