Who could recommend a good ford dealer for spare parts. All I get from my local dealer is, "I'm not even going to try and look".

What parts exactly are you chasing?
Quite often eBay is the best place to look. BayFord and some other Ford dealers even sell through eBay also.

Thanks, yes have managed to get some parts online. I have a BF I Fairmont Ghia V8, just odd parts don't come up online and a friendly dealer in Sydney would be handy.

Thanks Mont, Thompson Ford it is then, their not all that far from me. You don't have a spare drivers door in Mercury Silver by any chance.

Also, try talking to the local Panel Beaters. Find out who they order their used parts from. Be prepared to spray and blend the adjoining panels.
Even if you can find one in your particular color, there is a good chance it will not match the way it was rendered on your car. |

Check google for used parts dealers. If you can get the correct door, get the price and then ask the panel beater what he would charge if you supply the door. Compare total cost with his previous estimate.

I always found Klosters in Newcastle good to deal with. (sorry not Sydney)
Bought a lot of NOS parts for my Ford trucks off them even though the computer said obsolete.

I tend not to bother sourcing anything from the cities, country dealers still keep a lot of NOS parts and the guy behind the counter is usually old enough to remember the part numbers.
