Default A subtle little mod........

Nothing special, but Ive been wanting to get rid of the old one for a long time. Doesnt suit the car IMHO, and I think this new style looks a lot 'cleaner' and more sophisticated.

Ah, who am I kidding. I did it cos it looks good :monkes: . No doubt the purists will hate it, but meh.

Just buy a Mk 2 dammit Aust!!! Admit it does look good, but it's definitely changing the character of the car. I refuse to let this new fangled Mk 2 affect my old skool Mk 1 !!!

Yup that is the new Mk2 Focus badge, the MkI was the really out there logo as can be seen here:

Matt yeah it does change the look of the car a little, as i said, i prefer it cos its a much cleaner looking badge than the old one which (to me) looked like a big blob on the back of the car. I actually had nothing on there for a week or so but decided it looked a bit 'too' plain, so i went through with the original plan of putting the Mk2 badge on.

At least you've saved my brain from hurting!!
I have been trying to imagine what it would look like for months (had thought of getting a Focus c max badge in from the UK).

Have been thinking Focus on one side, new Zetec badge on the other. mmmmm

Spot on - all Ford dealers should have them by now, or at least be able to order them. I was able to pull a few strings and get mine a little early..........

All new fords seem to have the same font and size badging, as thats pretty much the same look as the fiesta badging. I removed my Fiesta Badges, but left the Zetec ones on.

Thats right, thats why I did it in a way. Fiesta, Territory, Falcon, Focus and some more I cant think of all have this style of badging. I think it looks a lot cleaner than the OEM badge which was on there before, and it brings all the Ford models into line.

Oh and regarding the cost of them - The "Focus" Badge will be about $12, and the "Zetec" Badge is around $22. I wont tell you what I paid : .

Hmmm pushing it cos Im not sure if i kept them or not.

Part number for the Zetec badge (same as Focus but it obviously says 'Zetec' instead of Focus) is: 1271 42528 DA. I'll see if I can find the Focus one.

Looks good, nice and classy on the black. Always hated those poofy badges the car came with (purists can take it somewhere else! : ) and I reckon these are a lot better looking.

Just one thing though, did you use the sheet they come on to put them on or did you line them up each letter at a time? Cos the "C" in ZETEC looks a little out of whack.

Could be camera angle I guess. I know when I got the badges they were actually way out of alignment on the sheet, meaning they came that way from factory! I took the first one back and swapped it for another one which was spot on, so to anybody else planning to do this - check the alignment of the letters BEFORE you put the badge on the car!
