It being under 200,000 is a good selling point on a EL but $11,000 is a bit much for a lower spec car.

for 11k you could buy an AU futura with similar Ks on it. 7-8k is probably about it.
its a buyers market now, not a sellers. |

Unfortunatley you'd be better returning it to factory spec and sell the goodies privately
You'll get 7/8k for a stocker and recoupe a few grand for the wheels, filter, discs and other gear..

But the EF is considered a bad egg on the used car market, nfi idea why, maybe between the engine mounts and coil packs people have the wrong impression.. Still $5700 was a bargin for someone

People up here are advertising EL Futuras for $11k through car yards. Privately, you are looking at about $8k max.

Stick $10500 on it and bracket your self for as low as $8000. If its in very reasonable condition, you will eventually get someone willing to part with their money for it.

Yeah $7,000 is more like the real value.
$11k will get you low km Fairmonts (run 120k) and nice Ghia's.

They depreciate something shocking in thier first few years, All aussie car are long term investments. And, as For REDBOOK, its crap, it shows very low prices on everything.

With red book- take note of the first trade in price, that's be top dollar from tight *** dealers if you traded it.
On the private sale, ignore the 1st number. The HIGH price seems to be accurate, some less, most more but definitely ignore the 1st number. Ppl always put down a lower price on the paper work when they sell the car so stamp duty is lower & that is one of the places they get their figures from.
