Doubt it as the Capri went up on a trailer, it is very un-roadworthy.

I know Ford did actually fit a 351 in the EA GT engine bay. It was a very tight fit and therefore certainly wasn't viable for production. I seem to recall that the engine bay was painted red while the car was actually blue. Can anybody verify this?

Hi guys, just thought i'd pop in for an updtae on your cars They are being very well cared for and look great! The info on each of them has gone up on a board. Had 140 school students visit yesterday and they loved them, especially the Capri, had to answer many questions about that one! I have plugged your club/group to all the tour groups I have taken through since the display was installed. Hope it results in a few new members for you.

That's great that the cars can stay till the end of the year, they will be here for the Show 'n Shine on the 11th December, good opportunity!

We had a shift around of cars on the second floor on Wednesday of this week. Removed a few of the ones that have been in for a long time. New vehicles added are an XL Falcon, a LHD Capri/Mercury, an EA wagon Ford have owned since new (still smells new inside!!!) and an XE Falcon that was the Shell XMO gas promo car driven by Dick Johnson years ago (now silver but verified original). Drop in any time to have a look.

As for the GT, unfortunately access to underneath the bonnet is disallowed. I can confirm however that this car started out life red and the engine bay is still red, as are the inside of the doors etc. As for:

If you have any questions abot opening times or what cars are on display at any time, you can contact me (Felicity) on 03 5227 8709 or email to fdcinfo@deakin.edu.au

It's good to see the cars are being seen :S

I think we might have too! Is the LHD Capri similar to our Capri?

I can't believe how big those rims look on the BA! Or the slicks on the back of the Capri, sh ite!

The cars look very tidy. Good stuff.
