Once again, It'll all now get made in the great new 21st century "super country" CHINA!!
Without getting too political here... I'd REALLY like to know where we'll be as a country in 10-20 years? What skills will we have with NO industry? The government's steadfast refusal to halt the stampede of manufacturing industry to China (and Korea, to a lesser extent) is absolutely appalling! Another is the Wool & Textile industry (which has been my life for 30yrs) For our government to allow it's entire Wool scouring, Wool carbonising & Topmaking industry to be uprooted over the last 2 yrs, and relocated offshore to China is utter madness! (This from a country which once prided itself on "Riding on the sheep's back") I spose, only good thing to come out of all this is a chance at some more cheap CNC machinery at yet ANOTHER auction!...

Answer:
We'll be doing what we do best now, digging up big chunks of our landscape and shipping it overseas, oh and selling our other primary products to other countries so that we can buy them back as manufactured products. Naru used to do that too until the hole in the ground became bigger than the country. Regards, Tote

The government doesn't even seem to care, give it a few more decades and there will be no manufacturing industry left here, and unemployment will be real bad. So much for free trade. Our jobs for theirs.

silcraft was a big supplier for holden, the 460 jobs that are shown will not be the only job losses, more will follow in the supply and transport chain, and it seems the government only support the government.
