For you guys who work at dealers what is the demand like? Is there many orders on the books and what are the lead times?
I know three guys at work who have recently received their BF XR6 Turbos - 2 x 6 speed autos and 1 manual. Lucky pricks. One of these guys is a one-eyed Holden man and it is the first time he has selected a Ford. He loves his turbo. FF |

It's selling pretty well right now. Fleets are snapping them up and lead times for some cars is between 4-6 weeks. XR's are doing pretty well especially.

Ive seen about 4 in Wagga already, most of which are hire cars. Local dealer has a fair few too, but then again they still have a buttload of BA's that will never move.

Have a look in the paper, they're dropping the price to get rid of them and they're giving Ford cashback on all the older models. |

Do you think that a group of people that actually sold AU Falcons when the BA came out would have trouble moving BAs? The only REAL differences are the 6 speed auto and a slight engine power increase in the 6s. If you were buying a povvo XT as a city hack would you save $5k for 8Kw, I know I would. If you want a manual XR8/GT/GT-P/Pursuit/Super Pursuit/F6 there are great savings to be made. |

I've seen a few in the last few days around Sydney.
Mostly XRs, but then I don't think I could tell the BF XTs from the BA's without having the two side by side to compare.

All cars are eventually sold, or at worse registered as a demo and then sold off.

its funny the type of exposure that different people in different places get to a new car, iv seen staks on the road in melbourne, most common are the XT company type cars but every now and then i pass a XR, seen a few GT's as well. Not to mention the BF XR8 i sit right next to while here at work.

Saw a BF XT wagon on the weekend. Front bar definately gave it away.
Other than that, haven't seen any others.

One dealer in Melbourne has BA XR6T Autos for $35k. If they dont move fast nothing will.
Seems the % of XR sales vs the rest of the range has increased massively in recent times. Awesome cars but no longer exclusive. Its good to see so much support for performance Fords though. Its amazing what more equity due to property rises does |

Two minor things I don't like on the BF.
1. The satin chrome that is now on the interior door handles continues over the top of the handle and to the door skin. It should be just the insert like on BAs with the satin chrome handles. Does that make sense!?! 2. The grooves near the XR fog lights are going to be real bug catchers. You will love the job of cleaning them out! But if that is all there is to complain about, then there isn't too much to worry about. Reading the BF brochures, I would love a Fairmont Ghia. The remotes memorise your seat and mirror settings. One push to unlock the car and you sit in to find you're in the perfect position! The epitomy of laziness...and I love this feature! |

Notice how it rolls over the top of the door handle...I think it is just a little too much. They should have stopped it level with the electric window buttons. See images below. Last edited by bscampbell; 13-12-2005 at 10:51 AM. |

I see heaps of BF's on a daily basis, XR's and FPV's included... But then again, I go down the hume past Ford to get to school...
If you want a good look at the new BF FPV's, go to FPV and check out the showroom/gift shop/FPR race garage... There were about 8 BF FPV parked out front last time i was there...

I might sound like a major loser here but in my town there are only 2 BA's as it is and no BF's, but I can't tell the difference from a BA to BF... I am really sorry to say it, but what am I supposed to be looking for... Am I stupid? (I feel sooo dumb)
