Default does mr plod take an interest in you

hey guys and girld, just wondering if anybody has a lot of trouble with coppers, when you have done nothing wrong. for example, before my falcon i had a vk commodore for 4 months. it was immaculate, but i was pulled over 21 times, no joke. for nothing. not including roadside breath test stations. they never booked me for anything, i was in coburg and was pulled over once, and i stood up for myself, and partially threatened him, and the force with harrasment. its a load of bullsh1t i told him, i have done nothing wrong, everytime its the same crap. and in my falcon, ive had it for about 2 months, ive already been pulled over 7 times, not including my last which was for speeding.
anybody else having trouble???

nope, only ever been pulled up for speeding. Too many times though. :S

When i used to drive a mitsubishi Galant with wheels and farty exhaust i got pulled up about 5 times randomly.

My EA usually has odd wheels on the back too and never once been questioned about that. Even my latest speeding fine, i got pulled up and the tyres on the rear were black stockies with minimal tread, he didn't even look twice, just handed me my fine. Saying that i usually drive in good areas to and from work etc and very rarely even see cops on the road.

I think you must have some bad luck gthofan, especially if your EA looks as it does in ya profile.

the commodore was stock everything, almost show condition.
and the falcon is the same on the outside, apart from the bonnet which is peeling a bit, but jees give a guy a break, im not one of these rice burners with the 50 foot high spoilers, no thumpin music, im just there to enjoy the car as they come off the showroom floor

I can't say i've had too much due attents from constable plod. in my orig ef I got pulled up for having the neons on in the car (and right out side my gf's place too), but I would have thought with the Xr I have now with the black stripes down the side and extra bonnet scoop, they would have singled me out!

my bro in law was always picked on by the cops, and his cars haven't been wildly done up, but he drove like a di(k so deserved the extra attention.

not being a *****... but maybe its the way you drive.

I've only been pulled over twice, both in the Cortina at about 4:30 in the morning both times. Once for a blown tail light, and the other because i was going a bit fast down a hill to work...

I show the police respect when they pull me over, and im usually on my way with a minimum of fuss.

Guy at work had that happen. Well, he had the SOG pull him over. Apparently a red XE had been used as a get away car in a local bank job and his matched the description.

My car gets followed almost every day i'm out, no joke. And since about 4 months ago (right after I got done for no rego) they started patrolling the only two entries/exists to my place. I even caught them parked around the corner from me in someones driveway (residential area)

and just a couple of nights ago I came up behind a HWP Wagon, which then proceeded to stop and let me pull past him.....

Somehow I have the feeling im being watched :(

My cars got a pretty good 3" single system, everytime i go past a copper i have to slap it in neutral and just coast by..
But Ive never really had a problem, just drive sensibly and its all good.
the one time i did get pulled over i shut the car off immediately to avoid any unneccessary attention

Only once for having unreadable number plates. But never had any trouble, Even had the radar detector on in the car when I had the accident with the trailer and they didn't even notice it.

I only ever got pulled over in the EF once for speeding, and he picked me up while i was doing a u turn and was a bit upset at me when he finally pulled me over for making his stupid unmarked purple VX commodore work so hard to catch up. (within the speed limit)

Fair enuff mate , the coppers over here aint too bad imho.
Ive had the system on the car from the last 6 or so years.
if i do get done, easy a small plate drilled out and inserted between the flanges will quieten it all down.

***** who epa tested me didn't like the fact that I had a plate in there and would not pass the car with it in there.

I can kinda see why you'd be pulled over so many times though, ie music blaring or loud exhaust... maybe even wear a cap? Cops tend to pull over people on what they look like e.t.c, sad but true.

I've never been pulled up in my BA or even AU for anything random, and most of my driving is between 10pm and 4am, which is high-risk for being pulled over, as there aren't many cars on the road. I've travelled behind in front of, followed the cops etc and they still never pulled me up, attending police incidents my car just blends in as it looks like an unmarked TMU.

Fact is I highly doubt your car is tagged, and they would have known your from Bayswater way before they even stopped (rego checks on MDT's etc), they tend not to pick on late models so much though.

i drove past a booze bus at dusk with my parkers on (which are blue). got heckled over that and they defected me for one of my FRONT tires where the back ones clearly had less tread.

when i went to the station to have the defect cleared the officer there couldnt give a crap and didnt even inspect the vehicle. i was told i could remove the sticker.

i've driven past numorous patrol cars with my blue lights on and although i know its illegal i've never been told off for it until i passed the bus.

some cops do thier job while most dont seem to be bothered by trivial things like that so you think its ok...

Not only should you get a defect sticker for that, but a smack over the head.

Got to say I am amazed you admit on a public forum to driving like a moron.
Not only should your rice lights be cut out with a gas axe ... .. your license should be crisped with ot too..

If you are stupid enough to do these things.. DO NOT ADMIT IT ON THESE FORUMS.
I'll leave your post as an example to others.

i dont appreciate those comments XA. i also dont see how my license should be burned merely becuase i had coloured parkers on my car.

is having coloured lights any stupider than an illegal exhaust or other modification that many members freely admit to having?

i dont deserve that kind of treatment. im a new member and im trying to make a contribution. this thread is about ppls dealings with the cops and i thought id share a story. excuse me for offending you.
