Import DVD's

I'm a bit of a dvd nut and so far have built up a bit of a collection of movies and lately a few series dvds. I have the first 4 seasons of Frasier and want some of the later series but have found absolutely no info on when they are to be released here.

Anyway my question is about perhaps buying them from overseas as they are avaliable, I know all about regions and know that they will work i'm interested whether or not it'll be worth it from anyone who has done this before. Is it cheaper to buy a number of seasons at a time or get them seperately and how much would shipping be? is a online shop like amazon the way to go or is ebay about the best option?

I find you can get stuff quicker and cheaper (most of the time) from overseas.
Ordering the more is usually better (for freight), but order too much and you could get customs interested (which I think add's a further cost). As long as you have a region free player (most are these days) and arent worried about NTSC slightly lower quality, America and Canada are the way to go. Amazon is great, packaged well and prices are reasonable. With the Aussie dollar going down now, things get a little more expensive. Canada is a good option as there dollar is almost the same as ours.

i have bought cds from the US and postage can be expensive. my experience was that buying a second disc only added US$1 to the total postage cost. As Nevermind said, only grab a couple at a time, otherwise customs get interested, and I am sure you pay enough tax without adding to the government coffers.

Sounds like you need a friend in the Septics to mail you some DVDs.
