I currently have a complete ea 5spd sedan which i am intending to take the gearbox out and put into my xf. But now i have a friend offering me $500 upfront for the complete car. My question is, is it worth selling and get another 5spd to convert it or to just keep this one and get use the 5spd i already have? also would it work out cheaper already having a possible donor 5spd?

Depends on the condition of the box and clutch...seeing as though a new clutch will be around $200 i would keep it

I'd keep it, much easier to do a conversion when you have a donor car.

Well i dont drink, so some other form of payment would be appreciated, but if you get the clutch pedal pin from mal wood automotive, (the 85 bucks or whatever it costs is SO worth the 5 or 6 hours it will save not having to pull the dash out...) are half decent with a spanner and can wait a week or two until im not busy I will give you hand putting the T5 in.
