Well it was worth a try.

Nah seriously, my uncle was in the exact dilema as you, a couple of years ago.

He had a hard time choosing between the T and the 8, but he got the 8.

It all depends, what you think would be best for you.

It doesn't make the decison any easier, when both of the cars are your favourite, but when you make the decision, you'll be happy.

IMO if it was up to me, I would most likely take the XR8.

Problem solved.

Seriously but, it depends what you want the car for...

I reckon if its a car you will just be driving on the road with no indented track purpose, go the 8.

If you have racing in mind, go the turbo.

If you want to mod the car and make a lot of power, also go the turbo...

But nothing beats that V8 sound.

what mygto5 said.
also if not fpv T both these cars are on par with each other performance wise.
i am biased, ive had ford v8's b4 and it was simple for me. the 6 didnt get a look in at all for me. it was only after i purchased my car i discovered what they are capable of. My decision was always going to be the same tho. So its either do you want a turbo or 8 ?

if you do plan to do mods in the future the turbo is the go for "cheaper power" per dollar, and you will get a real bullet. If you have the cash the 8 can give you rediculas amount of power.

1 last note, you will have to get a cat back exhuast at least if you choose the 8.

good luck.

Im biased as I have the 8, and I love it! I know the turbo 6 may have the edge in speed but for me the sound of the 8 and seeing the bonnet buldge as I drive is the best.

I chose the 8 when I went through this dilemma not long ago. The turbo would be awesome but I wanted to hear that V8 rumble every morning going to work. It makes the work day seem not so bad!

Turbo bang for your buck can't be beat.

Go the turbo, quicker, more fuel efficient, better resale.

i disagree. it is common mistake ppl make.
v8 is a very dirty word these days. However as i have stated in previous post. Performance wise they are basically the same. And I know of xr6 turbo's that get worse economy than mine.
much of a muchence i say.
again do you want a turbo or 8.?

I'd go the 8.. 6's to me always seem like they TRIED to be an 8 rather than a 4 but didn't quite make it :P

And yes I know the 6T has major potential but I love the sound and the feel of 8s

The only difference at the start is the motor sound and the bulge.

When it comes to wanting more power the T will cost heaps less to get to the limits of the gearbox & conrods. after that point they will both cost big bucks.

If you wanna mod it easy get the turbo...

I've got over 300rwkw for under 4k... too easy. And I can understand the V8 sound thing... but you guys wanna hear one of these turbo 6's with a bit of boost in them... they are unbelievable. I got out of a V8 to get the turbo 6.
