I was just having a look on ebay and was wondering if anyone has had any experience with that mod ?
If so is it worth it? Here's the link http://cgi.ebay.com.au/Intake-Mod-Ch...QQcmdZViewItem |

Nah more fun to let people fall for it.. if you're gullible to believe that something like this is legit you deserve to lose your $20 :P

All most of these devices do is put a resistor across the air intake temp sensor (MAF). That fools the ECU into thinking that it's cold all the time, so it runs more fuel to compensate.

But yes, stay well clear of this resistor rubbish. PS: MAF = Mass Air Flow, not air temp sensor.

In theory I think it would almost definantly give your car more power (or seem like it). But it will drink fuel, as if petrol prices arnt high enough !
But I doubt the gain would be 20kws! :s Supahstah

it will work, but it depends on where it is place, as you all know the ecu learns and counter acts any piggy back system and what not,
bet way to do it is use a "POT" from DSE on ur water temp sessor to the ecu.. again it will add more fuel to give more power, it is one of very few sensors that will not make the comp learn, a customer came in to work the other day he got one of these for 45 bucks, |

As I posted elsewhere, waste your money if you like.
I want to state I sourced this info from somewhere, come on mod chip boy sue me, I dare ya. 3300 ohm 1Watt resistor or if you like from DSE is this little beauty 1W 3k3 Org-Org-Red-Gld cost is a whoping A$0.10 including GST and how do you install it: All you do is disconnect the NEGATIVE lead off the battery, unplug the air intake sensor, and put the resistor in the two holes of the plug. make sure you sucure it so the resistor cant fall out. DONT PLUG IT BACK IN THE SENSOR WITH THE RESISTOR. once you have taped it up or something to keep the dirt and water out. You need to reset you comp. Do this buy either removing the ECU fuse, if you can find it. Or the main fuse, engine bay. Now connect battery. Leave the fuse out for 15mins.... Put the fuse back in. And start the car. IMPORTANT DON'T PUT YOUR FOOT ON THE ACCELERATOR WHEN STARTING YOU CAR. Let the car run for 10mins. Turn it off. Start it up again, remembering not to you accelerator. And your off. NOTES: The Air Intake Temp Sensor is found on the intake manifold, on an EF its on the head side of the intake. In a **** of a spot! May have to remove throttle body to access it. It would be a good idea to reset the computer twice. Same process, but if you reset the computer when the car is at running temp, you will get better results.
