Exclamation EB Cowling into EA

Amoungst all the parts I sourced off Dansedgli (Thanks dude again ),
I got the EB wipercowling which is the same as ED/EF/EL I believe.

Now I know Dellboy had just the cowling on his EA and part of it fitted fine, but I cant seem to get the damn thing on at all!

1. The passenger part covers parts of my VIN plates and doesnt seem to line up or fit, seems too small

2. The Drivers bit is completely different!

I also got the EB wipermotor and bits aswell, This would make it line up better? I know Apparently something about you have to change the windshield as the EB onwards windshield is longer?

Anyone who has done this mod, Feel Free to help :P

OK why buy a whole car eb11 or ed just for the cowling update. or garnish etc, a ea with eb11 ed updated parts.. you cant tell the difference ( body wise) between cars, body & interior i have changed to eb11, i have a 89 ea t5 mpi, extractors, 3 inch exhaust , EB head update & modified , full EB GT kit all eb ed interior, lights, so on so on, 17 inch rims, lowered. in jet black paint, and mate do i get great comments from every day people. lots think its a american import of a post 90s mustang , of course no idea of ford cars modified . it goes like the clappers, for a near stock unit. I have put aftermarket central locking in eb11 sports dash, etc ..., for the minnimal cost of bits from wreckers to replicate a ea t5 mpi--- to the almost double cost of its must updated eb t5 cousin, i would not state buy a freaking eb as just. (anyway if you love your fords so much) how dare you condem the early ea series cars. i can blow the doors of many of my friends commoderes & many other makes of cars. love thy ford. :evil_laug. we love are fords..

the screens are a different length, you need an EB2 screen, i will be getting a new screen in the next few weeks, should have got one ages ago but meh.
i didnt mind the fact that my screen cracked, as it was haddit anyway - superly stonechipped which is probably what led to it cracking......

also there is nowhere to mount the EB wipermotor, believe me i tried!, there is like a cross brace in the EA plenum which isnt there in the EB cars you'll need to use the EA motor.

I Have A Ea And Have Made It A Exact Eb11 Replica With Gt Body Kit, All
Rear Lights, Garnish ,so On So On,it Is A T5 5 Speed Efi The Car Was In Beut
Condition When I Bought It.Also Much Cheaper To Buy Than A Eb Efi Manual.
I Bought El Complete Wiper Motor With All Arms & Pivots. Eb11 ED El Ef Are Exactly The Same. Just Remove The Plate Thats In The Way It Is Held On With 4 Spot Welds 2 On Each Point. (firewall)You Will Have To Angle Grind The Old Recess Out As The Wiper Motor Is Mounted On A Housing Plate. You Will See It Needs To Come Down A Fair Way. ( Cut Just Under Were The Wiper Motor Eletricial Plug Goes Through) Look At A Eb11 ED EL EF If You Have A Friend With One Or Look In Car Yard. It Is Quiet Easy To Convert Over. The Brake Booster Pipes Are Different The Way They Bypass The Eb11 Wiper Motor Firewall.
You Can Still Use Ea But Be Carefull Not To Cut Them. I Used A Small Bowl And With Fibreglass Made A Hump To Cover The Cut In Firewall Almost Same As Originall Eb11,and Glassed It To The Firewall paint So On Looks A1.
JUST REMOVE ID PLATES AND REPOSITION ON RIGHT SIDE,YOU WILL SEE WERE THEY SHOULD BE AS COVER IS VOID IN THIS AREA.
YOU WILL NEED A EB11 EL EF WINDSCREEN AS THEY ARE LONGER ,YOU WILL SEE COWLING FIT NO PROBLEM WITH THE EB11 SCREEN IT ALL LINES UP. ONE LAST THING I FORGOT IS YOU WILL NEED TO MOVE THE BONNET HINGES FORWARD ABOUT 5 TO 10MM MAX TO ALLOW CLEARANCE FOR LONGER
SCREEN AS IT WILL HIT... JUST ELONGATE THE HOLES IN BRACKETS AND AJUST BONNET AGAIN TO CLOSE. A LOT OF SHIT TO DO BUT IT IS WORTH THE UPDATE IN THE BETTER LOOK AREA.
Hope This Helps.

with the wiper motor, i plugged in an eb2 one and it operated strangley, ie - it was operating at a slow speed on high, even slower on low and didnt operate at all on intermittant, was way different to the ea's speeds...
did you have any problems in that regard? or did i get a dud wipermotor

No........ I Cant Justify If You Like Ford Cars, Why Do You Degrade Models. They Improve But Not By A Comment That Is Unjust To A Model Update. All The Early Model Prototypes Have Problems. Also I Dont Love Ea Cars They Love Me ,( Dude ) Go Buy A Holden You Seem To Be Very Negative (dude)..

i can only see one negative person here and that is YOU. if you can honestly sit there and tell everyone that an Ea is better than an Eb or Ed then you need to think about it all again.
infact if your Ea is so damn good then why did you have to go strip it of all Ea parts and make it like a Eb2?
for anyone with half a brain they would easily be able to figure out it is a cheaper and better option to go buy an Eb-d instead of trying build one from scratch using an Ea.
EAs are known by the whole population to be crap for the simple fact they pretty much are.
people are just stating a fact. if the EA was so damn good there wouldnt be EBs or EDs would there?
also i must add that if you need to rewrite every post you make and completely change what you have written then save yourself the time and think constructively about what you are saying in the first place...other people do read them before you change them and you have drawn a very clear picture of yourself.
