Default My 1st Look @ FPV BF MK II Range (pics)

Went down to FPV today for the 1ST look at the FPV BF MK ll range.
The person who organized this day should be a shamed at what they organized because they clearly have no clue about marketing at pitching there product to the future buyers of these top looking cars.
In total they had 4 cars on display.
They had 2 dirty cars parked under the cover outside FPV in a corner one was a Super Pursuit the other a GT, you couldn’t walk around them very hard to take pictures.
Inside was the Forced 8 and a Typhoon with new 19’’wheels, no forced 6 on display just a dirty one in the car park and no GT-P on display either…..
David flint rocked up for a look had a quick chat and I said what he organized last year was much better than what they served up this year.
The Forced 8 looks great the leather looks very classy, the wheels look the same as the GT but they have been sprayed with a very light colour gives then a slightly dark tint look compared to the GT bare machine faced finish.
The F6 wheels look the goods, not a real Fan of the wheels on the Super Pursuit the stripe kit with the eagle in it looks nice, and as for the badge on the side skirt it looks tacky and cheap.
Not much else to report except, the Rotary club was looking after the BBQ, the guys done a great job cooking.

The new F6 Rims look great. Just a slight variation on the originals

I agree with spoolman, an hours drive each way for a couple of sausages doesn't seem a good way to spend the day. I think FPV really let themselves down this time.

There wasn't even any staff from FPV to espouse the virtues of the updated cars. To sum the day up i would say FPV could have had a good display and have us singing their praises, unfortunately not this time.

It would be nice if those F6 rims actually had reversed spokes on the other side...

Seems we have really unpacked the knives this time doesn't it which is a shame. It’s not good when David himself takes a swing.
They don’t exactly have that feeling of momentum going which is the exact opposite of the racing division. After a couple of false starts the worm is well and truly on the rise. It’s not really confidence inspiring stuff at the moment as far as FPV are concerned. The promoted abilities of Prodrive sorely missing compared to the launch spiel in 2003.

The highlight of BF2 for me is the new F6 rims. I think Ford have really picked up their game in the rim department and have probably overtaken Holden. VE rims are nothing to special at all, with the exception of a couple of options hidden away in the range.

Have Prodrive contributed anything to FPV at all. They were supposed to be a high tech partner but the FPV's don't even have DSC which is even available on XT's now.

Don't mean to be picky but it's actually a Falcon, not an eagle.
