Check the list at VICROADS mate. I risked it for 2 years with my first car VN SS. And was very lucky. Nearly got done once. But I was living in NSW's and in the AIR FORCE by then so they let me off.

If you got your licence before the laws came in then you are fine. Im 19 and I'm onto my second e-series V8.
You will have to be carefull though, if you do happen to loose your licence, the new laws will affect you. Insurance is a killer too... my excess is $1400!! for third party + fire/theft...

Victoria any vehicle with a power to weight ratio over 125 kw per tonne, or with an engine capacity to weight ratio over 3.5 litres per tonne is not permitted to be driven on Ps (there are exceptions)
Here is a few lists of banned cars for P-Platers in Vic https://www.vicroads.vic.gov.au/vrpd...edVehicles.pdf Here is the Pre-2004 list: https://www.vicroads.vic.gov.au/vrpd...elspre2004.pdf For more info call Vicroads
