Lightbulb Usernames and Real names?

Ok I've decided to start this thread to find out who people are! I met a few people yesterday at the GOR cruise but I forget what some people said there usernames were!
I'll start this off then!

Yeah im pretty bad with names.

Forums are a weird thing, or so I have found. We all think we know each other pretty well, but when you actually meet them in person its very different.

Also, while I dont think its a problem yet, clubs in general have to be careful that sub groups dont become to strong, this makes meeting people even harder.

Yeah mate I rate her ;)

Maybe at the next meet I'll have an A4 printout on the dash with my username, real name, and portait so anyone wanting to ask me questions at meetpoints can hunt me down.

LOL...wouldn't it be funny if some smart ar5e went around pretending to be some other member, I probably wouldn't know the difference.

Although kudos to Dave, very easy to talk to.

yeah the the A4 print out is a great idea!

Polyal: yeh thats exactly how i felt! iv been talking to everyone on the forums for ages but yesterday i felt like a new kid at school and since most people already knew each other it was really hard to mix in. i knew XR6TickfordBoy so i was shatting to him and it was good to have my mrs with me! i found tho that when i was talking to other members everyone was really nice. great bunch of people!

Yeap its really hard to make the move.

Perhaps a meet where we do something other than crap on about our cars would be good.

As for the Mrs thing, after I dragged her along to the AFD she happy for me to go on my own, sometimes its better that way.

Was your GF bored?

nah she kept saying she had a great day! although she was a little scared on the way beck from apollo bay! if i was driving down there for a holiday and not with the e-series cruise i'd never drive like that around those kinda roads! it was so fun!
i sometimes wonder if she's bored but just not letting on. she likes to come see what i do anyway and be involved with the car thing!

Braden, just a suggestion, perhaps tone down some of your descriptions of our driving ;) We weren't "flying", we observed the speed limit but did drive with spirit when exiting tight corners into a long straight (observing the speed limit!)

Al, we have had other non-car events recently, notably the laser strike night and (to a degree non-car-related) the camp at Lake Glenmaggie.

Dammit I got held back at work (caught a lift with the old man, he's running late)
