Boil gummy shark in fresh herbs for 11 hours. Feed to cat. Go to fish and chip shop.
Good catch though - I've never actually hooked one - Are they good sport, or is it like towing in a wellington boot?

Yes fresh Flatty tails are about the only thing that beats Fresh gummy. Except maybe leather-jacket. Good haul there, my uncle was a commercial fisherman so i have caught many many many of them

Good feed there mate.....been living in Adelaide for 20 years now and the thing I miss the most about Vic is the flake......very hard to find good flake in adelaide ( especially real gummy shark , not catfish caught 3 years ago in some river in tawain).
Gummy and King George Whiting would have to rate as my favourire eating fish..... Flying back to vic on Sunday.....1st meal will be mums roast, 2nd will be a few pieces of flake :

Taste's vary alot. 99.9% of people here will bleed a leather jacket and throw it overboard as rubbish.
Cant say ive ever had one

Gummy & elephant fish are very simular eating and love them followed by flattie tales. One good thing about Vic is the fishing. Good Gummys off Clifton Springs and elephants at Western Port. And of course, Flatties can be caught in a bucket of water. Well done on those, that is quite a few meals there and yes you know when you have one on.

Leatherjackets are awesome to eat, pretty crappy fight though. Mahi, on the other hand, now thats the stuff! Grow pretty big, acrobatic strong fighters, and a taste that cant be beat! Just make sure you bleed em straight away and keep em on ice. Kingies are great as well.
