ok heres the story.. i just came back from a drive bout 10 mins ago.. i put my foot down to overtake and then backed of and felt a big clunk.. i dont know what that could of been or what it was. but ever since i have owned the car when i go to stop.. lets just say im driving through a suburban area and come to the end of the street and is about to turn i slow down as u do so u can see if there are any cars coming... then when theres none i DONT come to a complete stop but when i slow down and then go to take off i sometimes.. not all the time but sometimes feel a clunk not as bad as i did not long ago... now i was thinking maybe my diff but im not 100% sure as i am not a mechanic.. so please tell me ur thoughts thanks JO

Is it a 4 speed? Our EL shitter clunks like that, and occasionally when changing gears just after negotiating a slow right hand turn. Could be the diff??

dont take it to ford... unless its under warranty.
IT most probably is DIFF related if it only happens when you come to a stop. |

My bet is diff if it feels like it's coming from the rear. |

If it is a BA and only happens when you slow down and take off again and there is a bit of a thud in the rear, its the dif making noises. Mine does the same.......at any speed, slowing down then putting foot down. It has been to ford under warranty and all has been checked and told all OK. At this stage its an annoying noise I have to put up with. We will see. (Want my AU back!)
