Just a small question....
does anyone know if the au temp guage is a sender straight to the dash or is it a digital thing from the ecu....?? Thanks Cam |

The temp sensor is just a temperature dependent resistor. The ecu reads the signal to control the thermo fans and the adjust fuel ign etc including limp home mode so be careful. If you put in a 50k pot you can turn the fans on and go into limp by a turn of a knob.
not very useful but interesting. making it think its colder makes it run rich and hotter lean to a point where you are back in limp home. |

The temp sender would run to the cluster & the ecu
It is located at the back of the head against the firewall (in a 6cyl) |
