Default IE7 users

Just recently got "upgraded" to IE7, and the first thing I've noticed apart from the obvious is that some text is blurry as and I'm finding it difficult to read.

Email also does this now too.

How to do sharpen up the look of text?

EDIT - And don't tell me to use Firefox either. I have no desire to...

Its cause you are old. It happens. Stuff looks blurry, so you have to hold it out further away from you.

Maybe you are right that there is an issue with IE7.. since I upgraded I also noticed a slight blur sometimes.. but I put that down to my eyes not being overly wonderful :

Maybe get your eyes tested to see if yours are indeed needing attention _2:

Yeah mate.

Although now that I've re-opened the browser it seems to have cleared...

Install said browser.
Never use IE again.

is it just IE7 that it does it on or is it everything on the PC with words?
try using SHIFT and scroll your mouse scroll.
i know it changes text size but you never know...could help.

IE7 here and it's crystal clear. If anything IE7 is clearer for me to read than firefox. First thing I noted is the text is more defined and slightly lighter.

Can you adjust the convergence on your monitors?

rofl @ glasses. I wear glasses too. I do have a blur issue when I remove my glasses :P

Yes, I had that clear text turned on and it looked shocking. I quite like IE7. I like the tabs at the top. Better than opening a new window.

I've just gone back to IE after Firefox started giving me the irrits... has worked fine for a few years then the other day the mouse scroll stopped working, downloaded video's wont play, and there were issues with running some programs. Deleted firefox and got veersion 2.0, still the same, so gone back to IE which has no dramas

It's got me buggered

IE7 is similar to Firefox now that they copied the Tabbed browsing. But I'll stick with IE thanks. Have no issues with blurred text though. Maybe updating video drivers for those effected.

Stop drinking, sober up and try again later :P

I haven't actually upgraded to IE7 yet. AFAIK it does pretty much what Firefox does now.

How many of you have updated to the latest 'chipset/video drivers' ?

And for you Firefox fanboys, try this: http://operawiki.info/OperaInnovations and then this: http://virtuelvis.com/archives/2005/...-extensions-ii

Been using Opera since version 2. Tried FF for all of two minutes then uninstalled it.

Also, Secunia has never issued a 'serious' security alert for Opera. But has for all the other main browsers. Pffft !

Browser pimping is a foul and obnoxious trait. People have made their decision on what they want to use.

It would be better for all concerned if we stick to the topic at hand.

There are no end of browser fanboy sites you could go to where like minded souls can snivel until the end of eternity if they so wish.

Why not take it there where people will care?

That's what I don't like about virtual soapboxes like these; sarcasm doesn't translate well. :
