Website releases footage of Kidman crash
Quote:
Footage of Nicole Kidman's high-speed car crash while shooting an action scene for her new science fiction movie shows the Australian actress gingerly walking away from the accident.

Well she walked away from it. No doubt she will get the best medical attention.
She'll be right, I hope

Yep, was being towed by a truck which the car was attached to.
If you've seen the making of The Fast & Furious, you see the green Eclipse doing the same thing for the start of the movie. Puts the actor or actress into a moving vehical, so it looks good on film.

Womans day will undoubtedly pay mega bucks for the "horror" she endured. Whats the bet the glass from the street light that hit the car after the crash will be trivialised as well.
What was with that rag they tried to use to disguise her?
I've seen cleaner rags in the drawers beside my 16 year old cousins bed, right next to the hustler.

they did the trial runs in the dry but for the shots involving Nicole they wet the roads to give them that sheen and glossy look in the movie for impact.. The driver just went in alittle fast and the rear of the truck/tralior slide out...whooopee doo...

Yeah, they're making a huge deal about this when it's really nothing. She's back on set tonight. Just another channel nine beat-up... they were just lucky to be in the right place at the right time to catch a minor bingle. What a non piece of "news'.

and seriously where is the "high" speed? it was like 20kmph.

I loathe sensasionalism. like how channel 7 just empathised the high speed crash part and hospital part. no mention of the walking away unscathed part at all. and this was an actual news break too.

This is Hollywood right??

How come the light post was 'real'??

on the news they say nicole had a crash in her jag at high speeds. it makes it sound like she was thrashing her car but then you see it being towed by a truck and the truck slides out. she would have been fine in that big safe car. what about the stunt men hanging off the outside of the car?, poor dude broke an arm lol

Im assuming you know her personally, to be able to make such a judgement about her? Do you even know what a primadonna is???

From reports I heard about it, she wasnt too fussed about it and just wanted it all to die down.

I think the media, typically, went stupid over it. They were always going to be like that. Shouldnt be a surprise to anyone.

Jackie, you have in but two sentences just completely contradicted yourself,

Read your own reply again,

You first state that..... "From reports I heard about it............", presumably these are some form of media reports from whichever medium?

You then go on to say........."I think the media, typically went stupid over it"......blah blah blah............"shouldn't be a surprise to anyone."

So we can then conclude your Honour that the defendant Jackie, of Mt. Barker, South Australia, doting mother of three young children and wife to Irish Eyes Eamon is guilty of contradiction..........in one breath she clearly owns up to actively consuming media reports regarding one said unsavioury incident regarding a certain "celebrity" and yet in another breath is blatantly branding media sources as completely unreliable.

This your Honour is in itself contempt as whilst attempting to belittle a fellow forum member for making "very reasonable comments" regarding said "celebrity", the defendant clearly has little regard for the acqusition of fact.

For the record Your Honour my client has not "personally" met the said "celebrity", one Ms. Kidman, nor in fact would have any desire to do so, but has in fact spoken to persons, through his many contacts at all levels within the community in his line of business dealings that perhaps have........these same individuals my client would and indeed has on some occasions entrusted his very own life to, I believe their judgement in such trivial matters is good enough as gospel to my client.

The defendant unfortunately also makes the dire mistake of making some sweeping derogatory remark, I can only presume in the vain attempt of giving the impression my client is uneducated in basic worldly knowledge.

I believe is was something like..........."Do you even know what a primadonna is???" or something such like.

Oh dear, if one must explain such things then one must..........

The term Prima Donna" originally was used by Opera Companies as a term for the leading female singer within the company, the term is actually Italian and basically means "First Lady."

In the modern world the term is now loosely associated to a person who believes themselves to be irreplaceable, whereas they are in fact to others a person who is arrogant, vain, obnoxious or irritating.

Will that suffice or should I go on, if required I will of course supply further evidence your Honour that my client is indeed adequately educated.

A nice home, three young children, a loving husband, good career, everything all in it's right place, just perfect.........."and yet one desires more."

The humiliation and subsequent belittlement of others in a public forum perhaps will fill the void,........ maybe all is not well after all in that little yellow house in quiet Mt. Barker, not so "perfect" after all...........nice town too by the way, been there a couple of times on business, might have to come down again soon, business to sort out, wont bore you with the details, not the sort of world in which Public Service Lawyers you would mix you see.

Choose your words and foes carefully young Jackie, you really do need to know with whom you are dealing before you draw swords and spit such venom, I on the other hand of course need not heed to such wisdom, quite boring really.

Looking forward to discussing matters further with you.

Thanks for your reply tosser. :the_finge

One of my good friends done some work at her(and Toms) house in Sydney a few years back.
He has nothing but praise for her and thats good enough for me.

Apparently they were great to them. Made sure they had lunch and enough cold drinks while working out in the 40 odd degree summer heat.
Most celebs or even normal people wouldn't give you the time of day while you go about your job for them.

But, They kept on it and looked after them the whole time. No plebs. Just them.

That gets respect from me. :sm_headba

You can be an *** and think all celebs are *******s. But not all are.

I'll remember to bag out the person that posts up a well wishes post for you when you come unstuck. :

Tis true. When I work in the 40 degree heat installing foxtel for people, the customers couldnt care less. But for a famous actress to give lunch and drinks!

(Borat Voice)-NICE!

1. "Thanks for your reply tosser" ...........oh stop it, stop it, ya breaking my heart, got anymore or is that it?

2. "You can be an *** and think all celebs are *******s. But not all are.".........would you care to fill in the blanks, or is it more pointless and frivilous "tosser" or thereabouts remarks........if so refer to item 1.

3. "I'll remember to bag out the person that posts up a well wishes post for you when you come unstuck".............WTF?, further elaboration required on this one please before comment, ie: what does come unstuck mean?
