I went to kwinana the other night and mangaed to beat my pb with a 14.2 at 96mph, but what i cant work out is that my previous best was a 14.3 at 101mph and both 60ft times were 2.3secs. Does that mean if my mph was up on my last outing that my et might have been a bit better?? I cant even explain why its that much lower than before.
any ideas?

My understanding is the higher the MPh then it would appear thet the car was making more power on the last outing, just didnt get it to the track for whatever, gear changes ,tyres etc.

thats the speed of the car at the line.. maybe tyre pressure, air moisture, wind direction, to much xmas dinner, more fuel onboard, dirty air filter , slow gear changes, not holding ur tounge right LOL

So if my mph was as high as it was last time, would my time be much better?

Isn't the trap speed is worked out on the time taken between the photocells
66ft before and 66ft after the post, with the middle one on the finishing line stoping the clocks?

2.2 with a good run & gear changes etc will see you in a high 13. your mods are only Exhaust and CAI so you will get there, good to see you having a go. remember i started on a 15.00 and Rodderz 14.80.

Sylox and I ran at Willowbank the other week and on the 3 rd (last) run i crossed the line at 94.68mph and ran a 14.52. Sylox however according to the trap speed sensor managed a 15.2 at 79.91 mph. He swore his speedo was reading 140+ (88mph). All his previous runs were 88mph + runs with 15.1 approx. Sometimes the sensors aren't perfect. They might have borrowed a VIC police speed cam that night. LOL.
On the other hand the MPH can be influenced by all sorts of stuff as mentioned above.

Yes Johnny I agree with Mark, evertime I've been out a slower 60' with more wheelspin results in a higher mph at the finish, must be due to the car having more revs at the start initially. Got me baffled at first too
My best of 13.51@106 had wheelspin and a 60' of 2.13 that was on the bald sp9000's, but got a 2.01 on street slicks but got a 13.56@103. Gave me the irrits that night...couldnt get the launch right with the stickier rubber (long waits in line didnt help) |

Check your 330ft data, that will tell you the story.
In our dragster at Kwinana Fordy, we run our fastest ET's, however at willowbank we always run more MPH. Loading the car up (and the BA being such a heavy one) will make the car ET with no MPH. Hope this helps mate |
