Default Clutch cables

What is going on snapped 2 in a month not happy. What can cause this.

If they are put in too tight, they will snap, and will snap as many as you can fit.

Do you have a tear in the firewall that could be causing it to snap as well???

nah that happened last year. got 2 3mm thick steel plates on either side welded and bolted to the firewall. Turns out they didnt change the cable just the brackets which broke in the cab last month.

I haven't snapped my clutch cable yet but my clutch is gone because the cable has jammed on the steering rack and that has caused the pedal box to crack around the clutch pedal which has therefore stuffed my clutch through improper adjustment.
So i'd check the pedal box plate thingy when you change the cable again

On saying the above, has anyone had the pedal box plate out. Just wondering how big of a job it is?

i had my pedal box and cable changed as well, the box started to crack around the clutch pedal. I had it done at ford and they only had it for a couple of hours.

Yeah Ive had mine out and weldedeasiest way is to pull the steering column out dahs stays in and untouched then you can un boult the pedal box.
