Hey guys,
Just wondering if there is anyway I cant change the AU steering wheel to an aftermarket one with a boss kit??? Apparently to do this you need a special tool? And I know it illegal because of airbags etc, just wanting to know if it can be done... Thx |

No it can't be done legally. You can get nice ones that go with the airbags. Here's one in an EL - different car, but same steering wheel etc:

i'm pretty sure the shaft has the same number of splines as early e series cars, how many that is i don't know, but i have seen a couple of pics of au ones fitted to ea/na models.
so to answer your question, it more than likely is possible, but unless you plan on using it as a race car, don't even consider driving it on the road with no airbag |
