Default 2.0 Focus Intakes!!!

Okay Guys....

Im interested in finding out some info about the intake systems on the Focus.

I know Steve got 88FWKW from a Pipercross Viper Intake..

Just want to know weather i should go:

ST170 Snorkel and aribox with BMC panel filter,

BMC CDA or

K&N apollo.

Reason for each is

ST170 snorkel and airbox look nice and stock and look they belong and the cops will be none the wiser.

BMC CDA because i have heard they are the top of the line. But they come with a price. Like 500+ shipped from OS. i couldnt find any on Rocketindustries.

K&N Apollo because they are $208 and i can pick it from Minto and i have heard they are second best to BMC.

So tell me which one would be the best buy and give me a reason..

Would like to know all your thoughts on this.

I dont think cops would pull over a Focus to check for defects.

I'd go ST170 snorkel and box with BMC panel Filter. The Pipercross and BMC airbox are great but still have issues with how to site the cold air feed (mine has not been right since Ford Dealer removed it to fit a new clutch)

The ST170 box and snorkel will sit perfectly in the engine bay, can easily flow enough air for 126kW (170bhp) and probably more, and won't cost you an arm and a leg

i went down this road a while ago. I looked at the volant and while it got rave reviews from the yanks, it was gonna cost me about $700 to get one here. shipping was the kicker there.
I looked at a few k+n systems but there didnt appear to be any "cold air intake" systems available, only short ram. and with the hot humid summers here in sydney i didn't want to make that compromise.

The pipercross was bloody expensive too. but then again i did make my enquiries through revolution racegear so i should have known better.

Steve put me onto the ST170 airbox and snorkel which i was more than happy to go ahead with through www.focus.cfm.com but for some reason they kept canceling my order.

I gave up and made my own cold air deflector for behind the grille and put a k&n panel filter in. Plus the k&n sticker that came with it was good for +16fwkw!!

The point of my rambling is to say that i got fed up and threw in the towel. Volant seems to be the best (with debate) on the market (and the hood scoop just looks cool), pipercross and the ST box n snorkel is more easily available but i was too impatient to pursue it further.
