AU1 heater control problem

Got a problem with the heater control vent selector. When turning the knob, no air comes out the respective vents.
It sounds like a vacuum issue, as you can hear vacuum when the knob turns.

My question is, is there a common problem with the selector? What are the possible issues and has anybody else experienced this problem?
