To the OP, really sorry to hear mate. Write a letter of demand for the damages and send it to them. They're insured for this sort of thing, be persistent and don't cop their BS. Tell them you plan on pursuing the matter through the courts as the damage is that extensive. If they brush you off tell them "thanks for your time, we'll be in touch"
Document everything, all your info and talk to your dad for verification of the facts. Go hang out at the yard of toll with a camera, take some footage of cars being abused. Once you've got some evidence then ring the morons at ACA and tell them that you have evidence of cars being thrashed, and forward it on to them. Sit back and watch the fun begin. As for idiots abusing cars, I know the guy Roger who around 7 years ago worked at Ferrari at Rushcutters Bay. He took a test drive of a trade in, and wrote it off in the tunnel at Kings Cross. He lost his job over it, and now is relegated to working at his Dads auto electrical in South Strathfield.

Sorry to bring back an old thread but i'd suggest people who are worried bout there cars being driven to drain the tans empty and fill it with a few litres of fuel enough to get it on and of the trailer thats it. If it runs out the yards usually have a jerry to fill up with to get it going if not i get paid extra when the car has to be pushed on the trailer.

When I sold my GT-P to a bloke in Perth, I sent it over there on the train. I took around 20 close up photos of the car while they were filling out the condition report. I even took pictures of the staff while they were doing it.
They went right over it and they noted anything that could be an issue. I then e-mailed the pics to the bloke in Perth so he could see for himself. I didn’t hear back from the bloke so I guess that it was still in one piece when it got there. Accidents can happen, that’s just a fact of life but deliberate abuse and unknown kilometres are unacceptable. Moral of the story, don’t trust anyone.
