Are you 100% sure? I got pulled over last year and when I got out of the car the policeman told me I could get a ticket for driving without shoes on.

FreezeR, My dirty mind instantly thought "well you know what they say about men with big feet..."

Anyway, my 2 cents' worth! If I am driving in heels I kick them off onto the passenger side and go barefoot. It is hellish driving in heels.

When I was a delivery driver for Scotts Spare Parts a few years ago, I started out wearing my usual slip on shoes. The clutch was so heavy in the Daewoo Cielo POS that I went to Rebel and bought a pair of joggers with support just under the toes as well as a thicker heel. Fantastic, stopped my feet from aching.

In my rolla though, her clutch is nice and light so I either go Blunnies, sneakers, sandals or barefoot, depending on my mood

And as for barefootedness, when I got done for driving unrego'd I had no shoes on. The cop asked me to get out of the car and I was like "ouch ouch ouch!" on the gravel road. He didn't say a thing about it...

Well when I went to the driving instructor for lessons he said I could go either. I assume he would have known the law. Maybe we'll have to investigate further into this.

Well if a cop does try to book me I'll argue that I have bad ingrown toenails and's its hell to do anything with shoes on. That or I can't operate the pedals properly with shoes on.

But, did he give you one??? I suggest not, because there is no law against it.

Just get him/her to show you the law you are breaking.

Barefoot for me, more feel of the pedals and more comfortable.
My feet spend enough time in workboots so when ever i get the chance I'm barefoot

Wouldn't know, but I'd suspect what I have wouldn't be too bad, good flex in them, comfy, and decent "feel" They're not the typical huge ones though, they're Etnies Lo-cut IIs, so they're kinda old school, but not mental.

As for those boots, where can I get a pair? I've been looking for a decent 2nd set of boots..

All I know is I learnt the hard way that when you drive an L9000 with 12 Falcons on the back the muffler under the floor being fed by 14 litres of Detroit Series 60 is gonna make the floor hot! After that I started buying better quality thongs (the cheap rubber ones melted to the floor!)

So, having progressed to the Kennie 604 it's Fila Bangkok copy thongs all the way.

In the ute, whatever shoes are on hand but I do kinda like the rubber studs on the metal pedals when I'm barefoot - massage works well when the Boss is idling.

bare foot would have to be my fav get to feel more
